We are passionate about ensuring high quality services and genuinely care about the goal attainment and results for both clients and our care workforce.The Role:We require Disability Support Workers who are also experienced in Child Protection & Youth Welfare, for ongoing work with several clients located in Ballarat, Victoria.  Our clients require 24/7 care so we have various shifts available; including active nights. You will utilise your advanced skills to provide person-centred support in order to achieve their goals and aspirations.Key components of this role include:attend regular training sessions and care team meetingsprovide personal care support in line with client needsencourage the client to engage in community-based activitiesdomestic assistance (inc cooking)Work with and manage complex & challenging behaviours (aggression, property damage, absconding, sexualised)Develop and assist in Behavioural Management Plans (set boundaries)Regular reporting and completion of client paperworkSkills and Experience: If you are a passionate, experienced disability support worker who wants work/life balance and to make a real difference in someone’s life, then we have a place for you at CareChoice.Minimum requirements for this role include:Certificate IV Disability or higher, or other relevant qualification is essentialPrevious training and experience working within Disability Support and youth welfare - with clients who display Challenging behavioursWilling to obtain a new National Police CheckA current First Aid Level II Certificate - inclusive of CPRA current EMPLOYEE Working With Children Check (Victorian)An International Police Check (where applicable)The ability to pass a DWES registry check AUD Australia - VIC Ballarat & Central Highlands Ballarat
