Disability Support Worker

The Company CareChoice is a specialist provider of experienced support staff in disability and complex care. CareChoice provides 24-hour support making a variety of different shifts available, including mornings, afternoons, active nights, sleepovers and weekends. We focus on providing the right person, on time, every time to contribute towards our clients achieving their goals.The Role: We have a complex client based in the North West of Melbourne who requires 2:1 assistance with a range of different support services. This includes but is not limited to, full personal care, community access by way of taking the client out for drives 3 times a week in the afternoons and to the local pools for a swim alongside managing behaviours of concern (absconding) and aggressive behaviours.To successfully engage with our client, you will be a confident swimmer and happy to take the client swimming on weekends- you will be required to get in the water with them. As a Complex Disability Support Worker, you will have experience working with clients living with a range of different physical and intellectual disabilities and have proven experience or training managing aggressive behaviours.
