Disability Support Worker

The CompanyCareChoice is a specialist provider of experienced support staff in disability and complex care. CareChoice provides 24 hour support making a variety of different shifts available, including mornings, afternoons, active nights, sleepovers and weekends. We focus on providing the right person, on time, every time to contribute towards our clients achieving their goals.The Role:We have clients with complex support needs, requiring quality care for their individual programs in the Northern Region of Melbourne. As a Disability Support Worker, you will have experience working with clients who have Mental Health Challenges and Challenging Behaviours, and working with clients who require hoisting assistance (Manual Handling)Duties:Your tasks may include but not be limited to the following:Personal Care and Domestic Assistance Coordinate Social Outings - applicants must have a car and licenceDevelop or assist in Behavioural Management Plans (set boundaries)Build Rapport and Actively Engage with ClientHoisting Assistance (Manual Handling)Skills and Experience: If you are a passionate, experienced support worker who wants work/life balance and make a real difference in someone’s life, then we have a place for you at CareChoice.Minimum requirements for this role include:Certificate IV in Disability, or other relevant qualification is essentialPrevious training and experience working with clients with Mental Health Challenges and Challenging BehavioursA clear and current National Police Check obtained within the last 6 monthsA current First Aid Level II and CPR certificate A current Working With Children Check (Victorian)An International Police Check (where applicable) AUD Australia - VIC Melbourne - All locations Watsonia 3087
