The CompanyCareChoice is a specialist provider of experienced support staff in disability and complex care. CareChoice provides 24 hour support making a variety of different shifts available, including mornings, afternoons, active nights, sleepovers and weekends. We focus on providing the right person, on time, every time to contribute towards our clients achieving their goals.The Role:We have clients who require assistance with personal care and community access in the Southern suburbs of Melbourne. As a Disability Support Worker, you will have experience working with clients living with a range of different physical and intellectual disabilities and will require assistance on 2-3 hour long shifts.Duties:Your tasks may include but not be limited to the following:Personal Care and Domestic Assistance Coordinate Social Outings - applicants must have a car and licenceDevelop or assist in Behavioural Management Plans (set boundaries)Build Rapport and Actively Engage with ClientSkills and Experience: If you are a passionate, experienced support worker who wants work/life balance and to make a real difference in someone’s life, then we have a place for you at CareChoice.Minimum requirements for this role include:Certificate IV in Disability or equivalent qualification is essential Previous training and experience working with clients with disabilitiesA clear and current National Police Check obtained at the time of recruitment A current First Aid Level II and CPR certificate A current Employee Working With Children Check (Victorian)An International Police Check (where applicable)A clear DWES check and be prepared to be checked against the DWES registerA current Victorian drivers licence and reliable vehicle AUD Australia - VIC Melbourne - All locations Bayside & South Eastern Suburbs Cranbourne 3977
