We are passionate about ensuring high quality services and genuinely care about the goal attainment and results for both clients and our care workforce. The RoleWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated professional to join our HR department as a Work Health and Safety Advisor. The team is seeking an individual who is passionate about ensuring a safe workplace, and instilling a culture of safety and wellbeing within the whole organisation.Key components of the role include:Identifying WH&S issues across the business and implementing mitigating strategies Working with key stakeholders in the organisation to ensure compliance with organisational policy and legislative requirements.Providing input and review of OH&S policies and proceduresUndertaking risk assessments within office and client accommodation sites, and monitor controls for effectiveness.Monitoring ongoing safe work practices and a strong safety culture by inspecting worksites. Your ProfileTo be successful in this position it is essential you have:Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), allied health or other relevant discipline would be highly regardedExperience implementing WHS management systemsExperience undertaking WHS audits and investigationsA sound knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004 legislation, Codes of Practice and associated standardsAn understanding of manual handling risks and emergency management responseCurrent and unrestricted driver's licenceExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenExcellent computer literacy and high level of administrative skillsDesirable:Previous experience working within a similar role in the disability, community services or aged care sectors.
